Life can be like a chess game sometimes, but the problem is that you are not always the player. More often than not, you find that you are a spectator, watching an unseen hand playing your own game.
Life can be like trying to find your way out of a huge maze. You keep hitting dead ends, until you realised, as if like a prank, all the different dead ends are actually the same. It just comes in different disguises.
Maybe life is really more like a chess game, but just after you move your first Pawn, the opponent King draws out a gun and shot your King dead.
Maybe the biggest irony in life is like in a game of Checkers, after your piece advance to the other side of the board and be promoted to King, your opponent moves in his King and your King is essentially trapped at the other side.
Uncertainty Principle makes Physics interesting but uncertainty in life makes it frustrating. But without uncertainty comes boredom.
If life as a human is all about passing our genetic material to the next generation, then we would be at the wrong track. Mitochondria seem to be doing a better job than us if this is the case.
People who says that Science is dry as it is all based on facts and figures obviously do not see the beauty of Science and the joy of learning. That, or I’m the odd one out.
Logically, it makes more sense to diversify, but when it comes to matters of heart, some of us just can’t.
Despite what some forms say, “Student” is not an occupation. It will only be when university pays me to learn.
It is nice to see the innocent and natural smile of a child. You rarely see that in adults. We have to force ourselves to smile sometimes.
Sometimes people in Malaysia talk as if the three major races are different species: Chinese comes with 2 heads, Indians comes with 4 arms and Malay comes with 4 legs. Funny thing is only few seem to realise we are all the same. Maybe melanin has a yet unproven property of warping the space-time around us, and making us seem like we have extra heads or limbs.
In an attempt to promote world wide unity, peace and harmony, I propose that Esperanto must be the only language used in teaching all the subjects in schools in every country. When everybody is fluent in one language, the world population will miraculously be united, and wars will be a thing of the past.
In an attempt to promote real supremacy, I propose that we build mind control devices and make everybody thinks that they are of the same race. When everybody thinks that everybody else they met is of the same race, and superior to some other races they have yet to see, real supremacy will apparently be achieved. Harmony and unity will be ensured.
If I were given a super power of my choice, I think I will choose mind reading. Mind manipulation sounds a little evil. And yes, superiour learning ability is nerdy even by my standard.
Maybe 15 is a prime number to some alien beings and Fermat’s Last Theorem is proven false by their mathemathics.
